THE BEST BREWERIES IN LONG BEACH, CA

 

1. Liberation Brewing Co.

Liberation Brewing Co. is a brewery that prides itself on “craft beer, Nashville hot chicken, and general weirdness” according to the owner.

 

This brewery is certified by the Independent Craft Brewers Association so you know they’re the real deal. They also aim to provide their guests with a great experience every time they visit. 

 

The knowledgeable beer experts are happy to assist you with your beer needs and questions.

 

Liberation has a tasting room, a Cloth & Contraband online store, and plenty of beers to choose from.

2. Ballast Point Long Beach

Ballast Point is a brewery that started out with humble beginnings in 1996 and has since evolved into one of the most popular breweries across the nation.

 

The adventurous nature of the company helps them create new and innovative beers with constant regularity.

 

Ballast Point in Long Beach has over 50 beers on tap, a full wine list, and a food menu full of delicious plates. They also have a tasting room for your sampling pleasure. 

 

Their location sits atop a location with an outdoor deck with amazing views of Alamitos Bay, so you can enjoy your libations with some naturistic eye candy.

3. Trademark Brewing

Trademark Brewing is the only production scale craft brewery and taproom in Long Beach. 

 

Trademark has a large indoor space, allowing for ample room for patrons looking to enjoy some great beers, any day of the week.

 

Their beers are made in small batches to ensure each beer is made with the highest quality specifications.

A La Playa – Mexican Lager

The A-Line – Blond Ale

The 405 – English Ale

Gem Tones – Kettle Sour

4. Long Beach Tap House

Located in Belmont Shore, Long Beach Tap House is an establishment that, although has plenty of beers on deck (over 30) serves burgers, cocktails, and even delicious shakes.

 

This place is more of a restaurant with brewery-like qualities, as opposed to just a brewery outright.

 

Awesomely enough, they do support many local breweries in the area by featuring one once a month, promoting them via specials and happy hour.

 

Their Tap Takeover Tuesdays feature special beers in rotation from local markets including Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange County, and others.

5. Smog City Brewing Co.

Smog City Brewing Co is a brewery built on quality, and for what the owner strives as exceptionally balanced and creatively inspired beer. 

 

Although located in Torrance, it’s still within close proximity to Long Beach.

 

What this brewery does that many others don’t include is an element of philanthropy, with their 1% For the Planet initiative, where they donate 1% of all of the proceeds to environmental non-profits. Pretty cool!

 

Smog City offers its beers to its customers in different ways including local delivery, California shipping, and taproom pickup. Order online, and there will be no excuse not to grab some beer from these guys.
